pregnant with Dandy-Walker childat 21 weeks of pregnancy, i was told my baby has DW, because the inferior cerebellar vermis wasn’t developed. other malformations weren’t discovered so far, the evolution of the pregnancy is normal, but the doctors told me that my baby might have some development problems after birth! I just want to know if this only symptom ” the agenesis of the inferior part of the vermis” will affect my baby as a regular dandy walker syndrome, or the doctors have misjudged the symptom and it isn’t DW? If they are right, how to treat the further complications?what are the chances to be a normal child? 1 comment to pregnant with Dandy-Walker childYou must be logged in to post a comment. |

i too am pregnant and the Dr told me there is a chance my baby has DW , but we wont know for sure until he is born . he said what looks abnormal while in the womb could be completely normal when he is born . he just said that it look like the cerebellum had a split in it , but when he looked at it another way it didnt. i am feeling kinda numb to this. all i want is a healthy child with no major problems.
i am sorry you are going through this :/
