RE: Looking for Insight or Hope

Thank you all so much of your kind words and support.  My sister had an amnio conducted earlier in the week, the FISH test came back negative for any of the trisomies so we have that as a plus.  She did have a second ultrasound and the Dr. said that the cyst is not in the typical place on the cerebellum that Dandy-Walker is associated with.  He is not ruling it out but we have some hope with this.  He also did not see any abnormalities with the brain in terms of the hydro – the cyst is not pushing on anything and everything is measuring normal.  He didn’t see any abnormalities with the ligaments either.  They are conducting an echo next week and then most likely an MRI.  My sister is in much better spirits and I think its because of all the positive she is hearing from the Dr and what I’ve been able to share from this alliance.  Its unfortunate that this one Dr was so cold and “matter of the fact” about everything.  Needless to say, she will not be seeing him at this practice again.  Your continued prayers are much appreciated!
